Most of the "shedding" stuff I've dug into is not convincing. I've not dismissed it entirely, however. They'd do it if they can, I'm honestly not sure how competent they are.

Most of the friends I had in 2019 are gone. I miss what they were, I don't miss them now. It was heartbreaking to see how people I thought were smart succumbed easily to psychological warfare. Worth noting: One of the savviest critical thinkers proved to be a blue collar union guy who barely got out of high school...he protected himself and his whole family.
