Still reading, but as a Navy vet I need to chime in on the ability to steer without power. This exists in most large vessels, and it’s called Aft Steering or After Steering. But it is an exhausting process requiring many hands on deck. Also - extremely odd that there were no tugs.

Looks to me like a cyberattack on the ship’s controls…just like in Leave the World Behind. Someone studied the video in slo mo and saw flashes on the top of the bridge that look like explosive charges.
I remember several years ago I was reading up on the Puff Daddy "origin story". Here was a guy who, as an 19 year old intern, was given massive responsibility and leeway to act like a huge jerk at the record label. How? When you or I were 19, such things would never have been permitted. Gosh, he must have been some kind of Ubermensch, no doubt?
Now I read that his father was military intel and was heavily networked into NYC organized crime. OHHHH, I SEE! He's an Intel kid! That makes sense. Jeez, and my dad was just in boring old sales, so I don't get to have all the fun!

Thought this was a particularly interesting post from “Concerned Citizen” on Twit/X. A bit of “wet work” like what happened to former Supreme Court Justice Scalia who also HAPPENED TO DIE ON A TEXAS RANCH under very questionable circumstances.
As you’re new to Texas - I was born & raised here - I advise you to politely turn down ANY/ALL invitations to hobnob w/ wealthy Texans on their mega ranches. PLEASE!
Texas may appear safe for the time being but “something is [unequivocally & increasingly] rotten” here in this state. Everyday in the city where I live, I notice more surveillance installations going up. If Texas turns blue in November, as the Democrats are hoping w/ all the votes from illegals & liberal transplants that have come since 2020, the state may prove a very oppressive place to live. After the catastrophic bridge incident in Baltimore, looks like events nationwide & are beginning to escalate. Certainly, it’s already happening in Texas w/ the DEW fires 🔥 in the panhandle.
Here’s a particularly great assessment put forth by Lara Logan countering Steve Bannin’s narrative that the downed bridge was NOT a terrorist act. The hell it WAS! Perpetrated by our OWN govt!
It's my understanding that local pilots are required to direct navigation when ocean-going vessels enter rivers, bays, straits and lakes. There may have been two local pilots on the Dali, one to navigate the bay and the other to take the ship in and out of the harbor. I'd find it hard to believe that those pilots deliberately steered into the bridge.
Thanks for reporting this Tom & for the links as I totally missed it in the alternate media. How horrible! It didn’t look like any cars were passing at the time the bridge went down although you say 7 people were killed — did they occur perhaps on the boat?
